The Office of Public Affairs advances the goals, objectives and priorities of the university by providing professional communication, messaging and government relations services, as well as by promoting awareness and collaboration among communications staff in university units and affiliates. The office oversees institutional media relations, government relations, marketing and branding, creative and editorial services, and ceremonies and events. It also oversees Kansas Public Radio and the Audio-Reader service for the vision impaired. Staff directory

News and Media Relations, also known as the KU News Service, is responsible for promoting KU accolades and accomplishments to media locally, nationally and around the world.

Government Relations advocates on behalf of KU and oversees interactions with policymakers at the local, state and federal levels.

Providing arts and information programming to listeners in northeast Kansas.

Services for blind, visually impaired, and print disabled individuals in Kansas and Missouri.

Enhancing the image, reputation and visibility of KU in the eyes of key audiences.
