Every year, KU students, faculty, staff and alumni travel to the State Capitol in Topeka to provide legislators and policymakers with information on how KU works for Kansas.
Through displays and meetings with elected leaders, they describe the many ways KU helps improve the lives of Kansans. They show how KU turns talented students into skilled graduates who contribute to a growing state economy. And they demonstrate how, as an internationally-recognized research university, KU is at the forefront of discoveries in technology, medicine and other fields critical to our nation’s future.
KU in the Capitol takes place in and around the rotunda on the first and second floors of the State Capitol. Each KU booth has space for literature, giveaway items, posters and other information that helps tell how KU works for Kansas.
